This summer school will explore cutting-edge applications of HPC in fields such as AI (AI Factories), Energy-Efficiency & Sustainability, Big Data & Digital Twins, Quantum, Hybrid Cloud and European Processor Sovereignity. The programme aims to foster innovation and encourage collaboration among participating students, integrating both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
The Summer School 2026 will follow the successful approach of previous editions and feature three main components: the academic, the industry, and the social programmes, offering participants a well-rounded and immersive experience.
Academic Programme
Confirmed academic lectures for the EUMaster4HPC Summer School 2026 will encompass emerging areas such as AI and HPC convergence, sustainable and energy-efficient computing, digital twins and smart cities, finance and data-driven governance, quantum acceleration, and European processor initiatives. These will be delivered by a group of lecturers drawn from the EuroCC2 project, the University of Luxembourg, EUMaster4HPC partner institutions, and invited international experts, all of whom are active contributors to the European HPC landscape.
Industry Programme
Several companies and research organisations will contribute to the technical programme of the Summer School, highlighting the intersection of HPC with AI, fintech, sustainability, and advanced engineering applications. Diversity of perspectives has been prioritised, with industry experts providing hands-on training and presenting their use of HPC for AI Factories, green computing, financial modelling, and digital innovation. This ensures that participants gain direct insights into the skills and technologies currently in demand across the European market. In addition, the students will visit top-notch companies in the field of HPC based in Luxembourg.
Social Programme
Further details on the social activities will be available soon.
